Welcome from the Chair

Hello Guest:

We want you to be aware of several exciting opportunities available right now to current or prospective marketing or logistics majors or minors. So, we are delighted you've visited our Website. Please take the time necessary to "look around" and discover whether one of the many educational or certification programs we have to offer is right for you.

The Department of Marketing & Logistics is committed to providing its students a state-of-the-art education in marketing and logistics principles and applications. The faculty and staff in this Department are building a national prominent program - and this statement can be validated by any reasonable metric you would care to impose: our nationally-award winning students in both logistics and marketing, the quality of our graduate's job placements, the quality and quantity of the disciplinary activities and accomplishments of our faculty member, and the growing interest of the business community in this Department.

The value of a logistics or marketing degree from this program has expanded substantially over the past few years. Moreover, we remain committed to and focused on improving the quality of this Department. Faculty and administrators in this Department work continuously with the business community to secure scholarships (44 awarded this year) and more and better internship and placement opportunities for you. Our assertion, and our goal, is that any masters or undergraduate degree that you earn from us is very likely to function like a stock certificate that just keeps rising in value year after year.

You might be reading this and thinking, "Why should I major in marketing or logistics (or both, for that matter!)?" And meanwhile, we're thinking, "Why would you NOT at least consider the opportunity?" For information about our logistics program or logistics professional education, continuing education or certification programs, contact Dr. Terry Pohlen. For information about the New Product Development Scholar Program opportunity, contact Dr. Mike Wittmann. For information about any other aspect of the Department contact me, David Strutton.

Thanks so much for visiting our site.
