Membership in student chapters provides the students with many of the benefits received by professional members, such as society newsletters, journal publications, networking, education materials, certification, career guidance, etc. Other benefits available only to students include: student scholarships, corporate sponsorship, and paper competitions. Moreover, students can obtain student membership for a fraction of the cost that professional members pay.
