Madhuri N. Bandla

I, Madhuri Bandla, am originally from Chennai, India and have been in the US for the last two and a half years. My family has been the strongest influence in my life. My parents always gave me the independence to do whatever I wished and encouraged me to put in my best efforts into whatever I set my mind on. After my marriage and subsequent move to the US, my husband has been my greatest strength and source of encouragement.

I enjoy reading (anything from romantic fiction to human philosophy), cooking and experimenting with different cuisines, and writing (penning my thoughts into creative literature).

I'm pursuing my MS. in Accounting at UNT, specializing in Financial Auditing. I believe that education is a lifetime experience in learning. The MS. Program at UNT has shaped my career goals and given me enriching learning opportunities. I’m currently working at RadioShack as an Audit Intern in the Sarbanes-Oxley Audit group. I’m grateful to the Department of Accounting at UNT for giving me the knowledge and skill set to take up this challenging assignment.

I believe that success has no terminating points. My personal ideology has always been "commitment toward perfection." I sincerely thank the Department of Accounting and my donors, Dr. and Mrs. Clay. The $1000 award has motivated me to continue my quest toward academic excellence and to move toward higher levels of endeavor and achievement.
