Khuzaima Haider
I am Khuzaima Haider and originally from Pakistan. While working as an intern at PepsiCo, I am also pursuing my MBA in Logistics at the University of North Texas. I believe UNT has one of the best Logistics program in the country. I have interviewed with many professionals in my field and have heard nothing but excellence about UNT's Logistics faculty. The scholarship money will help me concentrate more on my academic aspects of my career rather than financial needs.
Tsuey-Ling Lee
I am Tsuey-Ling Lee from Taiwan. I was involved in a student charity organization, Forever Young, while I was at college. During the three years at Forever-Young, I was amazed by the fact that how the design of the system, the distribution of reward, and interpersonal relationships could affect people's motivation and therefore affect the results. Thus, I would like to explore more in Human Resources. Because I had no business related experience, I'm glad that I chose to study at UNT because the MBA program offers a broad background of knowledge, with a specialization in HR.
I plan to enroll as a full-time student and anticipate my graduation in June 2006. I can not reach my goal without this scholarship. I really can't tell you how much I appreciate the donor and the chance he/she has given me.
Raj Manjrekar
I am Raj Manjrekar from Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay), India. I have come to the University of North Texas to study for an MBA in Finance. When I am not busy trying to survive through the semester, I enjoy sports, music, traveling and training my free spirited self-willed dog.
The professors and staff I have contacted have been enthusiastic and very helpful to me. The program does a good job scheduling mostly evening classes. The vista online classes are great for the working professional.
As a student, it would be hard to say that money does not help. The award is very important to me. The money will be spent on tuition and books. Along with the money comes prestige of being selected, and it definitely helps to authenticate one's academic credentials.
Corina Marginas
I am Corina Marginas from Romania. I came to UNT five years ago on an athletic scholarship. Playing volleyball for UNT was a unique experience, and I enjoyed every minute of it. My parents are the greatest influence in my life. I could not have done any of this without them. They were by my side all the time and supported me in the decisions I undertook. I know that coming here was hard for them because I am the only child, but they knew this was a great opportunity for me to complete myself as an individual.
I graduated from UNT in May 2004 with a Business Computer Information Science degree. I currently work in the computer programming field, and I really like what I do. I realize that my business expertise is limited and believe that an MBA in Strategic Management will help me perform my job better. An MBA will give me a different perspective on programming, and I will start looking at an issue more from a business perspective.
I am very grateful for the scholarship I was awarded. It means a lot to me, as it will help me strive for higher goals. This scholarship motivates me to return to school, obtain good grades, and prove that I deserved the award. I want to thank the scholarship committee for awarding this scholarship to me, and I want to assure them that this will help me continue my studies and attain my goal of being a project manager. Thank you!
Soonyeong Wong
I am Soonyeong Wong originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I graduated from UNT with a BBA in Finance and Economics on December 2003. I had worked in residential mortgage industry for a year, and I am now pursuing my MBA in Strategic Management as a full time student.
The opportunity to network with talented students who are working full time in the business fields has been the most rewarding aspect of my involvement at UNT. The opportunity to share information about the current business world is priceless.
The Graduate COBA General Scholarship is critical in order to take off some of my financial burden. I am grateful to the donors who have helped making my education available.
