Professional Field
The following courses are required for the professional field in finance:
- FINA 4200: Investments
- FINA 4300: Liquidity and Working Capital Management
- FINA 4310: Valuation and Financial Decisions
- FINA 4400: Financial Markets and Institutions
- FINA 4500: International Finance
- Professional Field Elective - Select 3 hours from:
- FINA 4210: Special Topics in Investments
- FINA 4410: Management of Financial Institutions
- BLAW 4450: Corporate Law
- REAL 4300: Real Estate Investments
- RMIN 4600: Risk Management
- REAL 4000: Real Estate Finance
Accounting Support Field (6 hours)
Supporting courses selected by the student and approved in advance by the faculty advisor include 6 hours from:
- ACCT 3110: Intermediate Accounting I (Strongly recommended)
- ACCT 3120: Intermediate Accounting II (Strongly recommended)
- ACCT 3270: Cost Accounting
- ACCT 4100: Accounting Systems
- ACCT 4130: Financial Statement Analysis
- ACCT 4270: Managerial Accounting
Support Field Elective (6 hours)
Select 6 hours from the following:
- RMIN 2500: Principles of Risk and Insurance Management or REAL 2100: Principles of Real Estate
- Any 3000-4000 level coures offered by the College of Business Administration or Department of Economics.
- Any 2000 level or higher course in Foreign Language or Foreign Literature.
- Any 3000-4000 level course approved by the department chair.
Internship
You may complete an internship for three hours of course credit, upon completion of 12 semester hours at UNT including six hours in your area of study.
